This NYC burger chain is known for their exotic meats (think wild boar, elk and bison) as well as their dedication to sustainable and natural ingredients. There’s really something for everyone on the menu in addition to really great, inventive burgers. 1370 1st Ave @73rd Street

Just across the street from us, Burger Heaven is a popular choice for a classic diner burger and shake. If you have room for dessert, check out their ice cream parlor Cool Mess right above the restaurant. 804 Lexington Ave @62nd Street

Known for their grass-fed burgers, this chain with three locations in NYC is a good choice for an affordable yet high quality burger. Build your own burger or choose from their menu. Turkey and veggie options available. 1026 Third Ave @61st Street

P.J. Clarke’s
Since opening its doors in 1884, the original P.J. Clarke’s has served hungry diners great grub in a classic, old school setting. While you can’t go wrong with a burger, the menu ranges from seafood to chicken pot pie. 915 Third Ave @55th Street

J.G. Melon

Jones Wood Foundry
This British pub serves an excellent burger and is a favorite among Upper East Siders and celebrities passing through. If you’re not into meat, the restaurant also does a Scottish salmon burger. Yum! 401 E. 76th Street @1st Ave

April Bloomfield (of The Spotted Pig) brought her burger-making prowess to her stand alone restaurant in the Pod 51 hotel. All her burgers are made using the best possible ingredients (like homemade cheese and pickles). 230 E. 51st Street between 2nd and 3rd Ave

Vaucluse
Michael White’s fine dining French restaurant serves an outstanding burger made with an aged beef blend, fontine cheese, tomato jam and dijonnaise. You can order it at lunch or dinner, but we’d go for brunch, served with a fried egg on top! 100 E. 63rd Street between Park and Lexington Ave.

5 Napkin is a modern bistro chain serving gourmet meat & veggie burgers. Some locations offer sushi & tacos. 1325 2nd Ave at 70th Street
